1.Question 1
Condition: There is a bulb in a room and there are three switches outside the room. The doors of the room are closed. You can press any button, any number of times, you can go to the room only once by keeping turn ON only one button at a time. When you go to the room then you can go with just one button On.
You have to go inside and tell us what is the correct button(Switch) for the bulb?
Solution: first Press the Switch 1 and keep it on for five minutes. Then turn it off and turn on another one switch and go into the room.
Now one of the two things will happen -
- Either bulb must have been burning — meaning the right button was the second switch.
- Not burning either.
If it is not burning then we will see by touching the bulb -
- If it is hot, then the first button(switch) is right because we kept it burning for five minutes.
- If not hot, it means the third button is the correct answer.
